This One's For Me!


"Tatted Christmas Wreath" by Samantha Melnychuk

 ...and the one I am working on, exactly the same,  is a gift for someone I am trying to encourage to pick up the shuttle!

This is my all-time  favourite colour of HDT so far.  It is Karey Solomon's size #30 3 ply.  It is a bit soft, but works up well and is not bad as far as retro-tatting.  I love it.

Because I have finished half of the course for T.A.T.,( yah, HALF!) I thought I'd take some me-tat-time and so I did the socks for Mini-Boss and then this repeat of the wreath I did in yellow last month. Such fun!

  2. That is GORGEOUS Fox!!! I love the shading of that thread and the beads are the perfect touch! It reminds me very much of a photo I took of some leaves in red and green hues which were covered with glistening droplets of water after a spring rain.

  8. Thanks, everyone! I may now have to take a bit of a break as I head into the second part of TAT - which looks pretty confronting! Gulp!

    I love looking at this piece, so I will come here and gaze at what I can do, read your wonderful comments and be filled with confidence and enthusiasm when I am at an impasse.

    It's either that or chocolate.....

    JB, I don't know. There was no colour name on it when I purchased it at an event. Just the size.(#30)
